Human Remains Discovered Along Southwest Houston Bayou

A badly decomposed body discovered along Keegans Bayou in southwest Houston may have been there for as long as six weeks: Police

HOUSTON, TX — Homicide investigators with the Harris County Sheriff’s Office are looking for clues after two men walking along Keegans Bayou Thursday evening found human remains.

The body was discovered at about 7:30 p.m., in the 9700 block of South Eldridge Parkway in southwest Houston.

Investigators said the body was so badly decomposed that it was difficult to determine if the body was that of a man or a woman, the Houston Chronicle reported. Investigators believe the body has been in the field between two to six week, KPRC reported.

The body was taken to the Harris County Institute for Forensic Sciences to determine the age and gender of the deceased, and the cause of death.
