Katy ISD Instructor Fired After Students Share Her Nude Photos
Students found the instructor's lost phone, were able to access her phone and share her nude photos with other students.

KATY, TX -- A Katy ISD contract instructor was fired, and several students are facing disciplinary action after they shared nude photos they’d obtained from the instructor’s phone that had been lost.
School district officials said the instructor, who’d been hired by the school’s band booster club to teach the percussion sections, lost her cell phone earlier in the school year.
It is not known if the instructor reported the cell phone missing or stolen.

Katy ISD spokeswoman Maria Corrales said at least four students are known to have shared the photos, and the campus police department is still investigating.
Although the instructor does not face criminal charges, Corrales said she was let go because her photos were easily accessible, and because of the sensitive nature of the incident.

"(The photos were) believed to be distributed to quite a few people," Corrales told the Houston Chronicle. "It was not in her best interest to stay there."
Katy ISD became aware of the incident on Sept 15 after a student who’d seen the photos told their parents who reported it to the district.
District officials said the students will face disciplinary action for distributing the photos.
