At Least 10 United Airlines Passengers Injured By Severe Turbulence
Houston Firefighters treated 10 to 15 passengers with three taken to area hospitals

HOUSTON, TX — At least 10 passengers who were inbound to Bush Intercontinental Airport from Panama City, Panama were injured due to severe turbulence, officials said.
The incident happened Tuesday while flight 1031 was traveling through Mexican airspace, about 80 east of Cancun, officials from the Federal Aviation Administration said.

The aircraft was met at 1:40 p.m. by the Houston Fire Department, who treated between 10 and 15 passengers at the scene.
Three of those passengers were taken by EMS to an area hospital, but the extent of their injuries is unknown, the Houston Chronicle reported.
