Justice Forward will cover the cost of transportation to polling locations for specialty court clients through Election Day on Nov. 3.
Press release from Justice Forward:
Oct. 22, 2020
WHAT: Local nonprofit Justice Forward has partnered with Harris County RIDES—a subsidized transportation program that provides affordable rides to seniors, disabled citizens and low-income residents—to make voting accessible for individuals enrolled in Harris County’s specialty court system. Justice Forward is dedicated to breaking the cycle of incarceration in Houston by supporting its 18 specialty courts, which in turn help non-violent offenders overcome underlying issues and stay out of jail.
