Man Alerts Family to His Wife’s Murder

Family members allege he called them, said he shot his wife and was leaving with their son.

ATASCOCITA, TX -- Police are investigating the murder of a woman in Atascocita after her husband called family members and told them he’d shot her.

The incident was reported near the intersection of Fire Sage Drive and Seco Creek Lane, just off Atascocita Road, at about 8:30 a.m.

Police arrived at the home and found a woman shot to death.

Family members of the victim said the woman’s husband allegedly admitted to killing his wife, and left with the couple’s 12-year old son.

At 11 a.m., the woman’s husband was stopped several hundred miles by sheriff’s deputies in Victoria County and placed under arrest.

The couple’s son was unharmed.

The woman’s husband will be transferred back to Harris County where he is expected to he charged with his wife’s murder.

Investigators do not have a motive for the shooting.
