NFL's Michael Bennett Appears In Houston Court On Assault Charge
NFL defensive end Michael Bennett was indicted last week for assaulting a 66-year old paraplegic during Superbowl LI in Houston last year.

HOUSTON TX — NFL defensive end Michael Bennett made his court appearance in Harris County and was taken into police custody on Monday.
Bennett was indicted by a Harris County grand jury on Friday on charges that he shoved a 66-year paraplegic security guard.

Bennett was in Houston to watch his brother, Martellus Bennett, and the New Englaqnd Patriots plan the Atlanta Falcons in Superbowl LI on Feb. 5, 2017.

After the Patriots' victory, Bennett allegedly shoved his way onto the field, and encountered a 66-year old paraplecic woman who was working as part of NRG's security team, and allegedly shoved her to get onto the field for the celebration.
Bennett faces a possible 10-year prison sentence and a $10,000 fine if convicted.
