Four Houston Heights restaurants targeted in same-day break-ins (fox26houston.com) — Four restaurants in Houston's Heights neighborhood were hit by break-ins early Friday, and owners worry the crimes may be connected. Houston police are investigating after businesses including Iim Vietnamese Eatery, Kojak's Cafe, Tacos Doña Lena, and Taquerias Arandas reported smashed windows and minor thefts, and they're urging anyone with information to contact HPD and help protect local eateries.
   

2. Rare Sea Turtle Near Death on UK Beach Gets 5,000-mile Lift to Texas Rehab Before Returning to Gulf Home (goodnewsnetwork.org) — Houston Zoo veterinarians are caring for Rhossi, a rare Kemp's ridley sea turtle flown 5,000 miles from Wales back to Texas so he can eventually return to the Gulf of Mexico. The turtle's recovery highlights the zoo's sea turtle rescue program, which is partly funded by visitor admissions and supported by a broad international conservation effort.
   

3. NORAD Intercepts Multiple Aircraft Violating TFR Over Houston, Texas (aero-news.net) — Military jets intercepted five small planes that entered restricted airspace over Houston on Friday while President Trump was visiting Ellington Field and NASA's Johnson Space Center. NORAD says all aircraft were safely escorted out and is urging pilots flying near Houston to carefully review FAA notices and temporary flight restrictions before takeoff to avoid similar scares.
   

4. Texas teacher lured teen boys to home to do chores before showing them nudes, suit claims (themirror.com) — A high school teacher from Angleton, just south of Houston, has been arrested and suspended amid allegations she showed nude photos of herself and provided alcohol to underage students. Authorities say the case, now headed toward trial, has prompted mental health experts to warn about the serious, long-term psychological impact such abuse can have on teens.
   

5. Can you sleep in Walmart parking lots in Texas? (mysanantonio.com) — If you're hoping to sleep overnight in a Houston Walmart parking lot, be aware that city ordinances generally ban sleeping in vehicles and many local store managers turn travelers away.
