Suspect In Houston Deputy's Killing Arrested In Mexico: Police

Oscar Rosales, 51, accused of killing Harris County Precinct 5 Corporal Charles Galloway, will be brought back to Houston, police said.

HOUSTON, TX — A suspect charged with murder in the killing of a Houston-area deputy was arrested in Mexico on Wednesday morning, according to the Houston Police Department.

Oscar Rosales, 51, was captured to end a manhunt spanning several days following the shooting of Harris County Precinct 5 Constable's Office Corporal Charles Galloway. The Houston Police Department is working with other law enforcement agencies to bring Rosales back to Harris County, authorities said.

Rosales was arrested in Ciudad Acuña, Mexico, across the border from Del Rio, Texas, by U.S. Marshals, the Gulf Coast Violent Offenders Task Force and Mexican authorities, according to a report from KHOU 11.
