Woman Who Allegedly Pointed Gun at Deputies Is Shot, Killed
Deputies claim they ordered the woman to drop her gun, but she pointed the gun at them instead.

PEARLAND, TX -- An unidentified woman who pointed a gun at Brazoria County Sheriff’s deputies Tuesday afternoon was shot and killed by deputies.
The shooting happened in the 2400 block of County Road 90 at about 1:15 p.m.
The sheriff’s office received a call shortly before 1 p.m. of a suspicious person with a gun.
The caller told deputies that when he approached her, she told him to leave her alone.

When deputies arrived a short time later, they saw the woman with the gun and ordered her repeatedly to drop the weapon.
Deputies said the woman ignored their commands to drop the gun, and while they were still trying to get her to comply, she raised the gun and pointed the gun at them, which resulted in two of the deputies firing at her multiple times.

The woman, whose identity has not been released, died at the scene.
The shooting is under investigation.
