• Call Me Mother exhibition spotlights Black maternal health (click2houston.com) — Houston Heights residents concerned about maternal health can visit the new Call Me Mother Experience, opening Sunday at the Health Museum and spotlighting the alarming rate of preventable pregnancy-related deaths among Black women in Harris County. Curated with input from Houston's first Black Poet Laureate, the exhibit blends art and advocacy and will run through late February 2027.
   

• Houston City Council member proposes requiring companies to offer better pay to get tax relief (abc13.com) — Houston City Council is weighing tougher rules on which companies qualify for property tax abatements, tying those incentives to higher wages, benefits, and safety standards for workers across the city, including Houston Heights.
