Homicide investigators with the Harris County Sheriff’s Office opened an investigation and took Valle’s statement, who claimed he thought someone was breaking into his home.

But according to a press release from the Harris County Sheriff’s office, investigators noticed inconsistencies in his statement and began investigating the relationship between Valle and Ramos.

Investigators alleged that Valle and Ramos were involved in an inappropriate relationship including drug use and possible sexual misconduct, and that Ramos had allegedly threatened to report the sexual misconduct to authorities.

Investigators interviewed Valle again about his relationship with Ramos and uncovered more inconsistencies in his story.

Charges were filed by the Harris County District Attorney charging Valle with murder.

He is being held without bond in the Harris County Jail, and is expected to appear in court on Thursday.
