• Harris County public defender accused of hitting man with hammer, biting him (houstonchronicle.com) — A Harris County public defender is accused of forcing her way into a relative's home in Humble, hitting her ex-boyfriend with a hammer and biting him, according to court records. She faces burglary and aggravated assault charges, remains free on relatively low bail despite prosecutors' objections, and is scheduled to return to court next month.
