Local law enforcement and prosecutors maintain their decision to pursue the case and are declining to release body camera footage while related misdemeanors remain pending, leaving ongoing questions about the incident for Huntsville residents. 
• City Council rezones Avenue M lot for restaurant, funds $90,750 patrol car replacement (itemonline.com) — Huntsville’s City Council has rezoned a lot on Avenue M to clear the way for a restaurant reopening and approved more than $90,000 to replace a patrol car totaled in a crash that injured a local officer. Council members also accepted a $25,000 ExxonMobil grant to equip Huntsville firefighters with new gas monitors, strengthening emergency response capabilities.
