Opening Weekend at Ruby Creek Family Farm: Pumpkin Patch, Corn Maze and Longhorn Hayrides

Event Details
Ruby Creek Family Farm opens its 2026 pumpkin patch season this weekend in Aurora, about 30 minutes northwest of Fort Worth. Gates open Friday at 10.
One $15 ticket covers more than 20 attractions, including the farm's first walk-through corn maze, new this year. There's also the hay maze, the corn pits, a two-story sand pile, human hamster wheels, a catch-and-release fishing pond, live music and the General Store. Out in The Barnyard, kids meet Fergus the Highland cow, Leroy Brown the llama, and the miniature goats and donkeys. The longhorn hayride is the only add-on at $3 a rider, and it's the one where kids hand-feed real Texas longhorns from a covered wagon.
Opening weekend is also Local Hero Weekend. Current military, EMS, police, firefighters and nurses get in free with valid ID.
Hours are Friday 10 to 3, Saturday 10 to 7 and Sunday 11 to 6. Grandparents and veterans pay $12, children 24 months and under are free, and parking is always free. Pumpkins are priced separately in the patch, $3 to $15, and you pay when you pick.
The Peterson family has worked this land since the 1930s, so it's a real working farm, open Fridays through Sundays through November 8.
