• Mass casualty exercise planned on Galveston beach (galvnews.com) — Jamaica Beach Fire Department will join a major mass-casualty training drill on Galveston’s beachfront Wednesday morning, helping sharpen emergency response for our area. From 10 to 11:30 a.m., agencies will stage a coordinated exercise near the Galveston Island Convention Center, with one eastbound Seawall lane briefly blocked and minor traffic delays expected.
