• Standout Southlake Carroll wide receiver chooses Big Ten school over TCU (star-telegram.com) — Keller readers may recognize Southlake Carroll receiver Brody Knowles from district games at Keller ISD Stadium, where he faced Keller Timber Creek last fall. The standout has now committed to play college football at Illinois, choosing the Big Ten program over nearby TCU and Arkansas after back-to-back strong seasons.

• 'Millions In A Jiffy': Texas Man Admits Laundering $1.2M Stolen From Seniors In Tech Scam (tampafp.com) — A Keller resident has pleaded guilty in federal court to laundering more than $1.2 million taken from seniors in a nationwide tech-support scam, and now faces up to 20 years in prison. Prosecutors say he funneled victims’ checks through his companies and on to India, and he’s agreed to repay over $1.24 million, with sentencing set for late October.
