• Summer Adult Soccer League sign-up is underway (jambroadcasting.com) — Adult soccer players in Kerrville can now register teams for the city’s co-ed summer league, with games at Hal Peterson Middle School fields starting May 31. Space is limited to 10 teams, and the Parks and Recreation Department is also seeking certified referees, with all details and forms available through Kerrville’s website and offices.

• Kerr County installing flood sirens along Guadalupe River (ktsa.com) — Kerr County is rolling out its first river flood warning siren system along the Guadalupe, focusing first on camps near the North and South Forks in West Kerr County by Hunt. The Upper Guadalupe River Authority plans eight outdoor sirens now and more in 2027, a direct response to last summer’s deadly flood that killed more than 130 people countywide.
