• Kilgore man behind bars following Rusk Co. domestic violence, animal cruelty investigation (kilgorenewsherald.com) — A Kilgore resident was arrested after a Rusk County investigation into alleged domestic violence, threats against family members, and cruelty to a livestock animal at a County Road 117 address near Kilgore. Deputies say they seized a firearm, suspected marijuana, and video evidence, and multiple charges have been filed while the defendant remains presumed innocent in jail. 
• Region 7 CTE Summit leadership hopes to inspire teachers (ktre.com) — Teachers from across East Texas came to Kilgore for the Region 7 CTE Summit, a one-day event aimed at recharging educators before the next school year.
