Killeen police confirm Flock cameras not used in investigation of deadly IH-14 pedestrian crash (kxxv.com) — Killeen police are investigating a deadly IH-14 crash where a 25-year-old woman died after being struck by a white Audi between Rosewood Drive and E. Stan Schlueter Loop. Key questions remain about her identity, how she ended up in the roadway, and the vehicle she exited, and police say Flock cameras are not being used. 3. Killeen votes on special meeting with paid lobbyist after councilman says he's ‘unimpressed' with them (kdhnews.com) — Killeen City Council voted 5–2 to hold a special meeting with its paid lobbyist, the Stan Schlueter Group, to refine strategies for the next legislative session in Austin. Council members are especially focused on improving reimbursement for the disabled veterans property tax exemption, which affects the city’s tax base. Some members questioned lobbying effectiveness and taxpayer-funded lobbying, while others stressed advocacy for Killeen residents.

Killeen police shooting was over a THC cartridge and fake money (kdhnews.com) — A Bell County grand jury has indicted an 18-year-old Temple man after a 2025 shooting near Killeen High School that police say stemmed from a THC cartridge deal and fake money. Investigators link him and a juvenile to social media videos, a stolen Glock with a drum magazine, and cell phone data. The victim suffered serious injuries when shots were fired into his vehicle.

Police reports: Assault of public servant in Killeen; assaults in Cove and Heights (kdhnews.com) — Killeen-area police logged a busy Thursday, including an assault on a public servant on Bacon Ranch Road, several other assaults, and multiple drug and theft cases across town. Reports also included an unattended death, welfare concerns, and crashes in nearby Copperas Cove and Heights, giving residents a snapshot of overnight and daytime public safety activity.
