• First Baptist Church of La Vernia begins building for the future (wilsoncountynews.com) — First Baptist Church of La Vernia has broken ground on a new campus along F.M. 1346, across from La Vernia Primary School, where a new sanctuary with nursery and children’s wing will be built first. Congregation members, youth, and leaders gathered May 30 to celebrate the church’s 171-year legacy and look ahead to expanded ministries on the 15-acre site.
