Glover, now the first Black astronaut to travel to the Moon, thanked residents outside his neighborhood and urged them to build stronger connections and “be neighbors,” reflecting on gratitude and the powerful bonds formed during the mission.
   

• New search in 'Killing Fields' case may provide answers for family of Port Arthur victim (foxsanantonio.com) — An active investigation into the infamous “Texas Killing Fields” again focuses on land near Calder Road and Ervin Street in League City, where four women’s bodies were found between 1984 and 1991. New search warrants at a Bacliff property linked to the case may uncover additional remains, offering long‑awaited answers to families, including relatives of victim Donna Prudhomme.
   

• Artemis II Crew to Discuss NASA Moon Mission and What Comes Next (nytimes.com) — League City neighbors turned out with flags and balloons to welcome astronaut Victor Glover home after his historic Artemis II trip around the moon. The crew is now back in Houston, sharing stories of their 10-day mission and already training for future moonwalks, while also reuniting with family, pets, and normal life on Earth.
