• Lewisville Police Investigating Discovery of Deceased Fetus Along Lake Shoreline (irvingweekly.com) — Lewisville police are investigating after a resident found a deceased human fetus along the Lake Park shoreline Friday morning, and detectives are working with the Tarrant County Medical Examiner to learn more. Investigators believe the five-to-six-month gestation fetus was intentionally discarded and stress the case is unrelated to a separate suspicious package call at Lake Park. Anyone with information is urged to contact Lewisville police or Denton County Crime Stoppers. 
• Houston man sentenced to lengthy federal prison sentence for armed convenience store robberies in the Eastern District of Texas (crweworld.com) — A Houston man has been sentenced to more than 13 years in federal prison for two armed robberies, including a holdup at the Buy Low Liquor Store in Lewisville. Prosecutors say he and accomplices brandished guns, stole cash, and violently assaulted a store manager, with the Lewisville Police Department helping the FBI investigate as part of a broader federal crime initiative.
