• Governor Abbott Reappoints Sjolander To Coastal Water Authority Board Of Directors (einpresswire.com) — Liberty County residents will continue to be represented on the Coastal Water Authority as Governor Abbott reappoints Dayton’s Jon “Mark” Sjolander to its board through 2028. Sjolander, already active on key Liberty County boards, will help oversee regional water transport and infrastructure affecting Liberty, Chambers, and Harris counties.
   

• Nancy Laverne (Bracewell) Jackson (bluebonnetnews.com) — Liberty-area friends are invited to honor longtime resident Nancy Laverne Jackson, born in Liberty and a devoted member of Open House Ministries of Liberty, at services later this week. Visitation is Thursday evening and a Celebration of Life is Friday morning at Open House Ministries, followed by burial in Hardin. Her family shares warm memories of her faith, hospitality, and love.
