Man found sitting on tailgate in living room after driving truck into Lufkin home, police say (newschannel10.com) — Lufkin police say a man drove a truck into a home on the 800 block of Abney Avenue around midnight, then was found sitting on the tailgate in the living room area. Officers arrested the 42-year-old on intoxication and traffic-related charges. No injuries were reported, but the unusual wreck left part of the truck inside the house.

Head-on Lufkin Accident Kills Jeremy Holt on Hwy 103, DPS Reports (accidentinjurynews.com) — A Huntington man was killed in a two-vehicle collision on State Highway 103 near Stubblefield Drive in Lufkin, with DPS saying he died at the scene. Investigators report a Hyundai turned left and failed to yield before being struck by a GMC Sierra. Authorities continue to examine the crash circumstances while legal experts note the family may have civil options.
