• Mayor accused of grabbing pregnant woman by throat, pinning her against pillar (local12.com) — Magnolia residents should know their mayor, Matthew Dantzer, has been charged with felony assault of a pregnant city employee after a state investigation, and the City Council plans a special closed meeting as the case develops. The employee has also filed a federal lawsuit against Dantzer and the city, while Dantzer, free on bond, denies the allegations and remains with access to City Hall.
