• Overturned 18-wheeler releases at least 24 million honeybees, forcing Texas neighborhood lockdown (ktvu.com) — Mauriceville residents were told to stay indoors after an 18-wheeler carrying hundreds of beehives overturned nearby, releasing millions of agitated honeybees into the neighborhood. Emergency crews and local beekeepers in protective suits worked through dense swarms to contain the insects and clear the wreckage, while officials have not yet released the driver’s condition or total sting count.
