Here are the top stories today in McKinney-Frisco:
- Last week, the City of McKinney approved the reconstruction of three local homes using funds from the Community Development Block Grant program. Two of the houses will be built on Throckmorton Street and one on Wilson Street, and each will cost approximately $250,000. According to Denise Lessard, the city’s communications and media manager, the homeowners and their families must stay in the homes for 15 years or pay back the cost of the rebuild on a pro-rata basis. - McKinney's very own gymnast David Shamah will represent the US while competing in Stuttgart, Germany. Shamah, who trains at WOGA Gymnastics, will be competing in the junior division of the DTB Pokal Team Challenge alongside 12 other elite American gymnastics beginning on 3/18. (USAGym.com)
- FC Dallas has announced their themed nights and giveaways for the 2022 season, all taking place at Toyota Stadium in Frisco. Coming up first, the club is hosting a St. Patrick's Day party on Mar. 12 before their game versus Nashville. Other events include Military Appreciation Night, Y'all Means All Night, and more.
