Avelo Airlines Expands McKinney Operations With Third Aircraft and Four New Nonstop Routes (aeroxplorer.com) — New nonstop flights from McKinney National Airport to Denver, Atlanta, New Orleans, and Nashville are coming as Avelo bases a third Boeing 737 here, making McKinney one of its key hubs. For McKinney and Collin County residents, that means more direct destinations, less driving to DFW or Love Field, and potentially lower fares if you're flexible and book early.
   

2. 5 Dallas-Fort Worth transportation updates to know (communityimpact.com) — McKinney drivers should know that westbound lanes of Silverado Trail between Kenley Drive and Burnett Drive are slated for major construction, including a new bridge over Rowlett Creek, starting in spring 2027. The $5.7 million city-funded project, now 90% designed, will run through spring 2028 and also relocate a North Texas Municipal Water District sewer line.
   

3.
