Here are the top three stories in McKinney-Frisco today:
- A 2-year old boy died after falling from the third-story balcony of a McKinney apartment complex on Wednesday, said police. The child was taken from the scene in the 5700 block of McKinney Place Drive to a nearby hospital, then flown to a Dallas hospital, where he reportedly succumbed to his injuries. Police have not said if they have determined how the child fell. (Subscription: The Dallas Morning News)
- Cars and Cigars in Frisco is one of 10 events highlighted in Local Profile's list of fun things to do this weekend in Collin County. This car and cigar enthusiast event is free for all ages. The Heard Museum in McKinney is also noted and will be presenting Texas Nessie, a 14-foot skeleton of a plesiosaur on display. The fossil was found by a collector in Collin County. (Local Profile)
- The 2022 Texas Pinball Festival will be held on Mar. 25 through 27 at the Embassy Suites Dallas in Frisco. The massive video game event will feature more than 400 pinball machines, classic video games, and other game room activities. All games are set up to play on free mode. (CW33 Dallas)

- Frisco ISD announced that Liberty and Lone Star high schools were awarded the College Board's AP Computer Science Female Diversity Award for expanding young women's access to AP Computer Science Principles. Eligible schools had to achieve 50 percent or higher female exam participants in AP computer science courses or a percentage of female computer science exam takers that met or exceeded that of the school's female population. - Capriotti's Sandwich Shop at 3194 W. University Drive in McKinney is expected to be completed by July, said the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation on their website. Work on the restaurant that serves hand-crafted cheesesteaks will begin in April. (Community Impact Newspaper)
