Lawyer: Veterinarian's Ex-Husband Fears For His Life Now That She's Out On Bail
Marion McDaniel has a protective order against Valerie McDaniel, his ex-wife, and her boyfriend, Leon Jacob.

HOUSTON, TX — The Houston man who police say was the intended victim of a plan hatched by his ex-wife and her boyfriend to have him murdered is now in fear for his safety, his lawyer said on Wednesday.
"With regard to Dr. McDaniel's release on bond, we are very concerned given she has little to lose at this point," Kyle Sanders said in a written statement, the Houston Chronicle reported. "However, we are confident the courts will continue to take the steps necessary to protect Mr. McDaniel, his daughter and their family."
The McDaniel's have an 8-year-old daughter.

"Mr. McDaniel's focus is solely on the emotional well-being and physical safety of his daughter," the statement continued. "He does not intend to speak publicly about the events but he is thankful for the overwhelming support shown to him and his daughter."
Valerie McDaniel and her boyfriend, Leon Jacob, were arrested on Friday and charged with solicitation of capital murder. They appeared in court on Monday and McDaniel was released on $50,000 bail. Jacob was denied bail.
