• Made in the 956: Mission native lands spot in national art contest created by Johnny Depp (krgv.com) — A young Mission native, 22-year-old artist Dulce Leal, has been selected for “The People’s Artist,” a national art contest created by Johnny Depp, and she’s now relying on public votes to advance. Drawing inspiration from her Mission roots, family, and travels, Leal hopes a win will help fund her master’s in architecture and showcase Valley creativity on a national stage.
