• Utah Strengthens Pitching Depth with Portal Commitment (on3.com subscription) — A former Lake Creek High School pitching standout from Montgomery is joining the Utah Utes baseball program through the transfer portal. Left-hander Jackson Wilkerson, who set ERA records and earned top statewide honors in high school, has worked his way through several Texas colleges. He’ll now compete for a weekend rotation spot, giving Montgomery fans another reason to follow Division I baseball.
