3-Car Wreck Leaves 3 Women Injured: Austin EMS

Multi-vehicle collision along 8900 block of Interstate 35 early Friday left victims with varying degrees of injuries, some life-threatening.

AUSTIN, TX — An early morning traffic collision led to the hospitalization of three women early Friday, medics said.

The three-car collision with as many patients occurred at northbound Interstate 35 near Rundberg Lane at around 2 a.m., medics said via Twitter. The wreck prompted closure of the highway to accommodate a police investigation and allow for road cleanup.

According to medics, three women ranging in ages from their 20s to 30s sustained varying levels of injuries: One woman in her 30s was transported to St. David's Round Rock Medical Center with critical, life-threatening injuries; another in her 20s was rushed to the Round Rock hospital with serious injuries; and a third woman in her 20s was taken to Dell Seton Medical Center with potentially serious injuries.
