3 Pflugerville ISD Students Banged Up After Bus Crash

Students treated for minor injuries before being released after bus collided with truck while en route to school band event.

PFLUGERVILLE, TX — Three Pflugerville ISD students sustained minor injuries after the school bus they were traveling in was involved in a minor fender-bender Saturday morning.

Pflugerville police were called just after 8 a.m. to FM 685 and East Pfenning Lane amid reports of a crash between the bus anda pickup truck, according to a KXAN report. The latter vehicle was headed northbound before making a left turn in front of the southbound-headed school bus, police said.

The schools bus was filled with 39 students headed from Hendrickson High School to Pflugerville High School for a regional band event when the traffic accident occurred, according to police. None of the other students were injured, according to police.

Three students were treated by medics at the scene for minor injuries before their parents picked them up. The driver of the pickup truck was transported to the hospital with minor injuries, and will likely be cited for failing to yield the right of way, police said.
