Austin Medics Rescue Three After Boat Capsizes On Lake Travis

Firefighters, STAR flight rescuers joined EMS searching for uninjured trio who went boating despite forecasts of inclement weather.

Thunderstorms returned to the Austin area late Friday into early Saturday — after Wednesday's and last week's substantial rainfall — bringing with it wind gusts of up to 35 miles per hour. While the latest storm front was short-lived, it was severe in its ferocity in isolated pockets.
