Austin was ranked only two below New York for best places to celebrate New Year's.

An analysis of the best places to celebrate New Year’s in America ranked a bunch of Texas cities including Fort Worth at almost the bottom of its list, but put Austin at only two slots below New York.
WalletHub ranked America’s 100 largest cities based on 17 key factors including the legality of fireworks, average price of a New Year’s Eve party ticket, and weather.
The analysis ranked Austin number 27 on the list, making it the highest-ranked Texas city. Dallas was ranked 44, Houston right in the middle at 50, San Antonio at 63, Corpus Christi 63, and Forth Worth all the way down at 96.

The top three spots on the list of New Year’s party cities went to Orlando Fla., San Francisco, and Atlanta. The bottom three spots were given to Jersey City N.J., Newark N.J., and North Las Vegas Nev.
