Armed Man Arrested At Austin's Pease Park

Dalton Broesche, 23, charged with unlicensed carrying of a weapon before being booked into jail on $55,000 bond.

AUSTIN, TX — Police arrested a man at Pease Park on Wednesday after he was found with several weapons, including a pistol and baton.

The incident occurred just after 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday on the north side of Pease Park. Arriving officers found Dalton Broesche, 23, with several weapons on him, taking him into custody for unlicensed carrying of a weapon. The man also had an outstanding warrant in Harris County, police learned during the course of their investigation.

Broesche was booked into Travis County Jail, where he remains on a $55,000 bond. "Officers did an excellent job of responding to this situation and taking Broesche into custody without incident while also keeping everyone at the park safe, " officials noted in their press advisory.
