Austin Police Seek Macy's Burglar
Public's assistance sought in identifying man who hid in store before closing time before emerging with large amount of stolen jewelry.

AUSTIN, TX — Police seek help from the public in locating a burglary suspect who hit the Macy's store in Lakeline Mall in April.
The incident occurred on Saturday, April 13, at 1 a.m. at 11200 Lakeline Mall Drive. Police said an unknown suspect entered the Macy's store located within the mall before closing time and hid. He than emerged from his hiding spot and proceeded to the jewelry section before taking a large amount of goods before exiting.
The Austin Police Department described the suspect as a Hispanic male between the ages of 15 to 18 years old with black-colored, bushy hair and of average build. The APD released surveillance camera images in the hopes someone might recognize the suspect and alert police.

Police also released a 20-second clip of footage taken from surveillance cameras showing the suspect casually walking around the closed store while vaping after emerging from his hiding spot.
