Austin Police Seek Robber Who Dons Jabbawockeez Mask, Clutches Lit Roman Candle
Three similar robberies have occurred in a span of just five days, with the suspect donning the same mask each time.

AUSTIN, TX — A man wearing a mask similar to those worn by the Jabbawockeez hip hop dance crew while carrying a Roman candle firework robbed a convenience store in North Austin early Sunday, police said.
It's the third such incident in a span of five days, according to police officials. In Sunday's incident, the suspect entered the 7-Eleven store on Burnet Road just north of Research Boulevard at around 3:15 a.m. on Sunday while demanding money. The suspect fled on foot with an undetermined amount of cash.
No one was injured as a result of the incident, police noted, while releasing no other details. The incident is similar to a pair of others in North and Central Austin last week, police said in a news conference. Police said a suspect had donned the same mask while clutching the lit firework during robberies at a Shell gas station off MoPac Boulevard just south of Anderson Lane on Wednesday and another the following Friday at a 7-Eleven on Airport Boulevard and East 38 1/2 Street.
