Austin Police Seek Suspect In Robbery By Threat
Suspect approached victim at HEB parking lot along on Brodie Lane Oct. 7, threatening to kill her and child if money wasn't given.
AUSTIN, TX — Police seek help from the public in locating a suspect who robbed a woman in the parking lot of a grocery store earlier this month after threatening he would kill her and her child unless money was given.
The incident occurred at an HEB parking lot along the 6900 block of Brodie Lane on Oct. 7 at around 10:30 a.m., according to a press advisory. The suspect is believed to be living in the vicinity of Brodie Lane and William Cannon Drive.
A distinguishing feature that was issued as part of his description was a tattoo of a teardrop under his left eye, an officer told reporters in a Wednesday press conference. Other than that, he is described as a black male between the ages of 20 to 30 years of age standing at five feet, seven inches tall. The suspect did not display a weapon during the robbery.

Police released camera surveillance video of the suspect in the hopes someone might recognize him and alert police as to his whereabouts.
