🌱Street Maintenance Begins + A New Restore Hyper Wellness

The quickest way to get caught up on the most important things happening today in North Austin-Pflugerville.

Morning, North Austin-Pflugerville! Here's everything you need to know to get this Saturday started off right.

First, today's weather:

Low clouds, then some sun. High: 78 Low: 65.

Here are the top stories in North Austin-Pflugerville today:

  1. Beginning Saturday, March 5, "Austin Public Works crews will begin street maintenance on North Lamar Boulevard... between Morrow Street and Airport Boulevard in North Austin." The work will be done on Saturdays from 7 a.m.-7 p.m. over a span of six weekends, depending on the nature of the construction and the weather. "The street will remain accessible at all times in both directions, with partial lane closures in effect during construction." Drivers and pedestrians are reminded "to be mindful of all work zone traffic signs, cones and flaggers" and "to proceed slowly and be cautious of construction workers." For more on Austin's Road Resurfacing Programs, please go online or call 3-1-1 and visit: (FOX 7 Austin)
  2. Restore Hyper Wellness, located at 110 N. I-35 in Round Rock, will be closing down on Sunday, March 20 and will re-open on Friday, March 25 at their new location in the University Commons Shopping Center, at 200 University Blvd., Ste. 310. The wellness center "offers red light, compression and cryotherapies as well as intravenous drip therapy and intramuscular shots." For more information, call 737-222-6629 or go to www.restore.com and visit: (Community Impact Newspaper)
  3. Now that spring is arriving, wouldn't it be nice to have "a fluffy ball of four-legged love and affection" to enjoy the warm weather with? Well, there are several animal shelters in the area with pets who need a loving family and a home. "According to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, over 6 million companion animals are taken in each year by rescue organizations nationwide" but "only half of all shelter animals — about 3.2 million — are adopted each year." Patch and Petfinder can help you find a furry four-legged friend! "If you're a cat person, meet Dougie Dutton, a Siamese up for adoption. Or if dogs are more your thing, there are several great dogs available, too." For a listing of potential pets and to start the adoption process, please visit: (North Austin-Pflugerville Patch)
