According to local media reports, a groundskeeper for the nearby Highland Campus of the Austin Community College district first spotted the body before alerting police. The witness told media outlets the body was in an advanced state of decomposition, suggesting it has been there for some time. Although the cause of death is yet unknown, the area was hit hard by powerful storms last week that could have led to the man's death.
