Update: Police Identify Man Found in North Austin Ditch

Police have identified a man who’s body was discovered in a ditch along a North Austin road.

Responding to a call from a pedestrian, the body of Brian Gregory Cristan, 41, was discovered along Burnet Road and Gault Lane around 4:30 p.m. Monday, police told patch.

The man was pronounced dead on the scene by medics, according to a tweet from Austin / Travis County EMS.

Police had originally suspected the cause of death to be hit-and-run but have since ruled that out. Police are not treating the death as suspicious, and toxicology reports are still pending to determine cause of death.
