Child Struck By Car In North Austin
Young pedestrian was hit along North Lamar Boulevard at 39 1/2 Street at around 3:35 p.m., sustaining non-life-threatening injuries.

NORTH AUSTIN, TX — A child was struck by a car along North Lamar Boulevard Tuesday afternoon, medics confirmed.
The juvenile pedestrian was hit along North Lamar at 39 1/2 Street at around 3:35 p.m., according to Austin-Travis County EMS medics. The child was rushed to Dell Children's Medical Center with injuries that were not deemed to be life-threatening.
Medics noted that the driver stayed at the scene to cooperate with police in their investigation. A stretch of North Lamar Boulevard was closed for some time in the aftermath of the collision, but has since been re-opened to traffic.
