City Of Pflugerville: Give Input On 1849 Park Phase 2 And Five Neighborhood Parks

This is an update on a previously posted story with additional open houses listed. 

Over the next several weeks you will have opportunities to give input on 1849 Park Phase 2 and the five neighborhood park projects that were approved by voters in the November 2020 Parks Bond. These chances to give feedback will help shape these projects, so if you live near or use these parks, we hope you'll join us. 

Wilbarger Creek Park Phase 2 Open House, Monday, October 25, 6-8 p.m., Pflugerville Recreation Center

Join us for an exciting public engagement meeting to discuss the planned addition of a dog park amenity at the southern boundary of Wilbarger Creek Park at North Cascades Avenue. The design team will present site layouts, conceptual ideas, and imagery to assist in explaining the current plan for the park and are looking to you to provide input on the park program, character and pfeel, and outline the next steps for the Phase II park project.

Kelly Lane Park & Murchison/Mallard Pond Park Open House, Thursday, October 28, 6-7:30 p.m., Falcon Pointe HOA Clubhouse

We're seeking your input for the designs of both Kelly Lane Park and Murchison/Mallard Pond Park.  The design team will have a presentation to provide the public with current conditions of both sites and discuss design opportunities.  This is a chance for the public to weigh-in and tell the team what you want in this park, and there will be multiple activities to contribute to that effort. 

Pecan Park Open House, Wednesday, November 3, 6-7:30 p.m., Pflugerville Recreation Center
Learn more about the development of Pecan Park. Highlighted in the 2014 Trails Master Plan, Pecan Park is a 15-acre park located along Pecan Street and the Gilleland Creek Trail Corridor and is directly adjacent to Bohls Park and the Pflugerville Recreation Center. An updated design is underway to envision the unique experiences this park can offer the community. Experiences such as nature learning, outdoor fitness, play and public art could enhance the well-used trail and mountain bike course that are already part of the park.
