The FY22 Proposed Budget is now available on our website at pflugervilletx.gov/budget. The proposed budget includes preliminary calculations for property tax revenue. The next step in the budget process is for the City to receive certified tax rolls from all appraisal districts and then tax rate calculations from the County Tax Assessor-Collector's Office.

For more information on the budget and tax rate adoption process, click on the graphic to the right. City Council will next discuss the budget and tax rate on August 10.
The next phase of construction at the intersection of Pecan Street and FM 685/Dessau Road began July 23. Traffic is reduced to one lane in each direction on Pecan Street. Also, traffic is now able to make left turns from westbound Pecan Street onto Dessau Road.
Access to the HEB shopping center is limited to the FM 685 and Old Austin Hutto Road entrances ONLY.

As Lake Pflugerville construction continues, restrooms near the beach will close on Monday, July 26. Portable toilets will be available for park and trail visitors.
As a reminder, the north side parking lot at Lake Pflugerville is closed to vehicles and pedestrians due to construction. Please access the lake from the south or west and follow all construction signage. For construction updates visit our webpage.
Come out to Pfluger Park, 515 City Park Road, for some live music featuring La Dezz on Friday, July 30. Music starts at 7:30 p.m. Grab a lawn chair and the family and come on out. LaDezz describes themselves as a musical powerhouse based out of San Antonio TX, comprised of brothers Mark & David Ledesma, and Lisa Mar. From the groups beginning in 2016, they have released a steady stream of original music and have become a crowd favorite with their high energy and eclectic performances. On Friday, July 23, Austin Public Health moved into Stage 4 of COVID-19 risk guidelines based on increasing COVID-19 cases in the area. Under Stage 4, a mask is recommended for vaccinated persons when gathering in private (indoors or outdoors), traveling, dining or shopping. Partially vaccinated or unvaccinated individuals should only travel, dine or shop when essential and avoid private gatherings (indoors and outdoors). One of the best ways to prevent the spread of disease is to practice social distancing and continue to practice good hygiene to reduce the spread of disease. Best practices include keeping hand sanitizer with you and washing hands frequently. Do not touch your face with unwashed hands. The Center for Disease Control, CDC, recommends continued care for those that are not vaccinated to include wearing a mask in public settings. City Council to meet on July 27 -The next City Council meeting is on Tuesday, July 27 at 7 p.m. A worksession is scheduled for 6 p.m. Attend in person or watch online at pflugervilletx.gov/pftv.
Key to the City gets an upgrade- Starting with the August 6 Key to the City, email notifications will be sent through a new platform. The newsletter platform will have enhanced formatting, but continue to provide you with City news and information. Existing subscribers will not need to make any changes and will have their subscription preferences imported to the new platform automatically. New and existing subscribers will be able to manage their preferences, unsubscribe, and see previous issues of our weekly eNewsletter from links within the email. Deutschen Pfest vendor applications open - Vendor applications for the 2021 Deutschen Pfest are open for food vendors, nonprofits, arts and craft vendors and other businesses. This year vendor booths will be open on Friday, October 15 and Saturday, October 16. All vendors are selected through an application process and will be notified starting in late July. The application includes all rules and regulations for Deutschen Pfest booths, so please make sure you read through it before you apply. Applications are available online, and can be submitted on your computer or mobile device. The deadline to apply for food vendors is September 1, 2021, and for all other vendors is September 27, 2021. Booth space is limited, and spaces may fill before the entry deadline, so apply today! New Seed Types at the Library - The library has added a few new seed types thank to a donation from a local gardener. You can now request loofa, morning glory, datura and little bluestem seeds. Plus, they have added more dill and marigold seeds to the cabinet. To request seeds, fill out the online form on the library's website.
July 31 - Pay It Forward Pflugerville - Come lend a helping arm to support your community and save local lives at the Pay It Forward Pflugerville Blood Drive beginning at 10 a.m. Make an appointment online or call We are Blood at 512-206-1242. Only those with appointments will be allowed to donate. The blood drive will take place in the library parking lot at 1008 W. October 5 - National Night Out - Registration for this year's National Night Out on October 5 is now open. Start planning your neighborhood or block party now and register with us to receive support, resources, and a visit from our officers at your party.
