Our next Music in the Park is tonight from 7:30-9:30 p.m. in Pfluger Park featuring LaDezz. LaDezz describes themselves as a musical powerhouse based out of San Antonio TX, comprised of brothers Mark & David Ledesma, and Lisa Mar. From the group's beginning in 2016, they have released a steady stream of original music and have become a crowd favorite with their high-energy, eclectic performances. When asked how they would describe their music, they would simply reply "genuine."

Tonight also marks the end of our Park and Recreation Month celebrations, and we'll be handing out exclusive swag featuring our Art Meet Parks contest winner, 9-year-old Mabel! It'll be a night of fun and free entertainment. There's no admission charge, so bring lawn chairs, pets, blankets, picnic baskets, friends and neighbors for a free evening of music, entertainment and relaxation.
During the concert, you'll also have an opportunity to give input on upcoming voter-approved parks bond projects, including neighborhood park development, trail improvements and 1849 Park Phase 2. For more information, visit pflugervilletx.gov/parksbond.
At their meeting on July 27, Pflugerville City Council approved 11 design and engineering consultants to support the development of plans for 14 parks and transportation projects included in the 2020 General Obligation Bond program. Bringing onboard these consultants represents the kick-off of the City’s largest voter-approved bond program, and will impact all Pflugerville residents.
The projects that will now begin the design phase include:
The next step for Transportation Bond projects will be a request for qualification of engineering services for additional street reconstruction projects and FM 685 corridor improvements in August and September. For an updated timeline, visit pflugervilletx.gov/bonds.
At their meeting this week, City Council briefly discussed EMS services, ultimately deciding not to issue $5 million in certificate of obligation bonds for EMS and instead will wait on an EMS Valuation Study from AP Triton to assist with future decision-making related to EMS services. The Council has also requested a meeting in August with the Emergency Services District #2 board. For more history on this project and to read the AP Triton Fire and EMS Assessment, please visit pflugervilletx.gov/ems.

The City of Pflugerville's operating expenses are broken down into seven categories, that when combined, make up our City's General Fund and Utility Fund departments.

Our operating expenses do not include our debt service (which is made up of voter-approved general obligation bonds and certificates of obligation) and Capital Improvement Program (CIP) projects or special revenue funds.
