On Wednesday, August 18 at approximately 12:04 a.m., the Pflugerville Police Department responded to multiple disturbance calls in the 1000 block of Lanark Loop. The 911 callers stated that a resident of the home had a firearm and was actively breaking down a door. Officers arrived on scene, and shortly thereafter at 12:08 a.m., an officer involved shooting occurred. The individual that was shot was pronounced deceased.

The Pflugerville Police Department has called in the Texas Rangers and the Travis County District Attorney’s Office Public Integrity Unit to lead the investigation. Their investigation will include review of body worn camera video. The officer has been put on paid administrative leave pending the outcome of the investigation.
