Costco Plans To Build A Store In Pflugerville, Company Rep Tells Chamber Audience
The store would be the third in the area after the opening of stores in North Austin and Cedar Park.

PFLUGERVILLE, TX -- Costco company officials disclosed plans to build a store in Pflugerville, according to a published report.
A representative of the wholesale shopping chain made the announcement at Tuesday's Pflugerville Chamber of Commerce luncheon, the Community Impact newsletter reported. While the company rep, Jordan Uveges, didn't disclose a location for the store, he said it would be opened within a 18 months of its groundbreaking.
Pflugerville Mayor confirmed to the newsletter that the city has been working with Costco officials for more than a year in their attempts to land a store. There are two other Costco stores in the area, one in North Austin and another in Cedar Park.

While the exact site of a proposed Costco wasn't disclosed, many on social media are speculating it might be located at a development situated along State Highway 130 between FM 685 and Pflugerville Parkway, next to the Hawaiian Falls Water Park. City officials are developing the 100-acre site as a magnet for business development, with visions of hotels, shops and restaurants at the site.
Residents are already highly anticipating construction of an Aldi store, one in a global discount supermarket chain based in Germany that is planned at FM 685 and East Pfennig Lane. A permit was secured since rumors first began circulating two years ago the company would build locally.
