Credit Card Skimmer Found At North Austin Gas Station
The device used to steal consumers' credit card data was found at 12000 N. MoPac Expressway Monday morning, officials said.

NORTH AUSTIN, TEXAS — A credit card skimmer was found at a North Austin gas station on Monday, officials said.
Texas Department of Agriculture officials said the device used to steal cardholders' data was found at 12000 N. MoPac Expressway on Monday morning. Police promptly removed the illegal device, and continue their investigation.

- Use pump closest to gas station in sight of employees
- Check security tape of gas pump
- Torn security tape could indicate pump has been opened
- Pay with cash when you can
- Save the receipt and monitor bank statements
Drivers who believe they might have been the victim of a credit card skimming operation are urged to call 1-800-TELL-TDA.
